Our $1.1 Million renovation of the 29th Street Community Center was completed in fall 2025! We are so excited to share our fresh-and-improved spaces with all in our community.
Private Rentals
The 29th Street Community Center has multiple spaces that you can rent:
- Our community room on the 1st floor that holds up to 50 people
- Our large multipurpose room on the 2nd floor that holds up to 100 people
- Our small classroom on the 1st floor that holds up to 24 people
- Our STEM classroom on the 2nd floor that holds up to 24 people
- Our teaching kitchen designed for cooking demos and classes.
- Barclay School’s gymnasium
These rooms are wonderful for wedding celebrations, baby showers, birthday parties, graduation parties, family gatherings, and community meetings.
Our multipurpose room has a connected teaching kitchen that can be added on to your rental agreement. It is NOT a licensed commercial kitchen. The teaching kitchen can function as a catering kitchen during events.
Accessibility: Our first floor is on street level with no steps to enter. Our building is not equipped with an elevator, but our second floor spaces are accessible with a rear entrance door located behind Barclay School near the parking lot. Accessible bathrooms are available on each floor of the building.

Capacity limits are for seated guests.
All rentals include 30 minutes for setup and 15 minutes for cleanup. For rentals over 4 hours, you will receive 1 hour for setup and 30 minutes for cleanup for free.
Chairs and tables are included with rentals of the community room, classrooms, multipurpose room, and STEM room. Additional equiment (small speakers, extension cord, projector, etc.) may be available upon request (first-come, first-served basis).
Please note: no alcohol is permitted for any space rentals per our MOU with Baltimore City Schools.
